1、什么是防虫网
防虫网顾名思义就是用来防治害虫的一种网，以聚乙烯为主要原料，在生产过程中添加防老化、抗紫外线等化学助剂，经拉丝制造而成的网状织物，具有拉力强度大、抗热、耐水、耐腐蚀、耐老化、无毒无味、废弃物易处理等优点。能够预防常见的害虫，如苍蝇、蚊子、蚜虫、白粉虱、烟粉虱等刺吸式害虫，还能有效防治棉铃虫、甜菜夜蛾、斜纹夜蛾、金龟子等成虫的侵入。采用全新材料并且正确保管，使用寿命可达3～5年左右。

2、防虫网主要作用
（1）防治害虫：利用防虫网防治害虫危害农作物是最基本的作用，在农作物生产前，加盖防虫网，可阻止害虫的侵入，有效阻止白粉虱、烟粉虱、叶蝉、飞虱、菜青虫、小菜蛾、甘蓝夜蛾、斜纹夜蛾、黄曲跳甲、猿叶虫、蚜虫等多种害虫成虫的侵入和为害。
（2）调节温湿度：在生产蔬菜、果树、花卉等作物的大棚周围、通风口等处加盖防虫网，不但能阻止害虫的侵入，能减少土壤水分过度蒸发，降低田间温度，尤其在炎热的夏秋季，效果更加明显。
（3）降低风雨危害：夏秋季是狂风暴雨多发季节，对正在生长发育的作用危害极大，不但能造成倒伏，还会引起大量落花落果，加盖防虫网后，可大大减轻暴雨雨滴对叶片、花朵和果实的危害，降低大风对作物的危害。
（4）预防裂果：低温干燥容易造成裂果，在通风口加盖防虫网，利用致密的网眼，可以将冷风打散，降低冷风的劲头，同时又不影响棚室正常的通风换气。就能够有效预防冷风直吹造成的果实皴裂以及叶片受伤。
（5）预防病毒病：蚜虫、白粉虱、烟粉虱等害虫是最主要的传毒害虫，在危害作物的同时，还可传播病毒，加盖防虫网后，有效阻止传毒害虫的危害和传毒，大大降低病毒病的发生机会。
3、防虫网的选择
（1）早春和晚秋季，防治以蚜虫、白粉虱、烟粉虱、蓟马等虫体较小的害虫，可选用40～60目，虫眼较密白色防虫网，不但能有效阻止害虫的侵入，还能增加光照，提高棚内温度。
（2）夏秋季，防治棉铃虫、甜菜夜蛾、斜纹夜蛾、小菜蛾、菜粉蝶等虫体较大的害虫，可用30～40目，虫眼较稀的黑色防虫网，即可有效阻止成虫的侵入，还能加大通风量，有效降低棚内温度。
4、防虫网的使用
（1）温室大棚使用：在蔬菜生长发育时期，在温室大棚上覆盖遮阳网，四周用泥土压实，不但能有效阻止害虫的侵入，减少害虫的危害，还能预防大风、暴雨、高温等对棚内蔬菜的破坏，效果十分显著。
（2）小拱棚使用：在蔬菜育苗期间，在小拱棚上加盖防虫网，不但能有效阻止蚜虫、白粉虱、烟粉虱、蓟马等刺吸式害虫危害和传播病毒，还能有效防止苗床干燥，浇水直接浇在防虫网上，减少浇水对幼苗的伤害，降低猝倒病、立枯病等病害的发生。
